We Turned a Normal Resume Into a LinkedIn Influencer Post

It's worse than you think. Agree?

You know that guy on LinkedIn. The one who turns buying a coffee into a leadership lesson. The one who announces a new job with 14 paragraphs and a photo of himself staring thoughtfully out a window. The one who ends every post with "Agree?"

We built a LinkedIn Influencer filter that rewrites your entire resume in that energy. We regret nothing and everything.

The Results

Summary (Before)

Marketing manager with 6 years of experience in B2B SaaS. Specializing in demand generation and content strategy.

Summary (LinkedIn Influencer)

Six years ago, I made a decision that changed my life. I chose to believe that marketing isn't about selling -- it's about serving. That philosophy has guided every campaign I've built, every piece of content I've crafted, and every pipeline dollar I've generated. I'm not just a marketing manager. I'm a storyteller, a data whisperer, and a builder of revenue engines that don't just perform -- they inspire. Today, I'm opening the next chapter. And I couldn't be more humbled.

Bullet point (Before)

Managed a $500K annual budget for paid acquisition campaigns.

Bullet point (LinkedIn Influencer)

Entrusted with half a million dollars. Not because I asked for it, but because leadership saw something in me that I was only beginning to see in myself. That budget didn't just generate leads. It generated trust. And trust, as we all know, is the ultimate currency. Agree?

Skills (Before)

HubSpot, Google Ads, Salesforce, SQL, Content Strategy

Skills (LinkedIn Influencer)

Tools I've mastered: HubSpot (my command center), Google Ads (my growth engine), Salesforce (my truth source), SQL (because real marketers get their hands dirty with data), Content Strategy (the craft I've spent six years perfecting and will spend sixty more refining). But my greatest skill? Listening. Always listening.

Education (Before)

B.A. Communications, University of Michigan, 2019

Education (LinkedIn Influencer)

University of Michigan taught me how to think. But the real education? It happened in the trenches. In the late nights. In the campaigns that failed and the ones that soared. Go Blue. Go boldly.

Why This Is Funny (and Useful)

The LinkedIn Influencer filter is obviously a joke. Nobody should submit this resume to an actual job. But it's funny because it's barely an exaggeration of how a lot of people actually write on LinkedIn.

The useful part? It shows you the opposite extreme of the Underachiever filter. If your real resume sounds closer to the Underachiever version (modest, deflating, buried personality), seeing the LinkedIn Influencer version might give you permission to be a little bolder.

Not "entrusted with half a million dollars" bold. But maybe "managed and optimized a $500K paid acquisition budget, delivering 3.2x ROAS" bold. Somewhere between cringe and cowardice is the truth.
